Jesus Wants Us to Change the World We Live in

 

He came to change lives, and then He told those who were changed by Him to go do the same - change other lives. "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20).

 

You are a child of the King of all glory. He's changed your life. You're growing spiritually, which by the way, never really stops. It's a lifelong process. In the midst of that growth we start to become very aware that our earthly lives are meant for something way beyond our own plans or desire. God wants to use us - our lives, experiences, and all we have - to touch other people with the same love, power, and truth He touched us with.

 

We're not just children of the King. We are empowered by Him to fulfill the purposes and plans of the King! Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

 

How God Uses Us to Change the World

1. Our story of how we came to God touches others, we call this our testimony

2. Our testimony of how God changed us makes others thirsty for God

3. Our testimony of how God teaches and guides us opens their eyes

4. Our change of life shows them their need for change too

5. Our change of life shows them what is possible with God

6. The good news we share about how to become God's child impacts them

7. The works we do when we give or serve shows them the love of God

8. The way we love each other and care for one another speaks very loud

9. Anything we know/share from the Bible will touch them, God's Word is powerful

10. Talk with them, share about Jesus, pray with them, and watch God work
